Listening, speaking , reading and writing are the four basic skills in the foreignlanguage learning. They are enhancing, promoting each other and influenced each other.Writing is the most difficult one of the four basic skills. And the level of writing hasbecome a major index of the comprehension language abilities. In senior English teaching,English writing is getting increasingly important. There are several reasons for it: first, insenior English teaching, developing the students’ ability of using English is the mostimportant task, writing is one of the means to reach this aim. Second, English writing is asignificant part of the test paper of the university entrance examination. 1.2The Present Situation of English Writing Teaching and Learning
In the process of teaching English writing , most of students find it hard to write apassage. Some learners are afraid of writing. Once they are instructed to perform a writingtask, they feel upset and some learners even have nothing in their mind when they begin towrite. Of course , there are some problems for teachers to teach English writing, such as inthe aspects of instructions, correcting and teaching ways. It is well-known to us thatEnglish writing is a complicated and hard- working mental activity. It is also atime-consuming task for teachers, let alone some learners in senior high school. As anEnglish teacher, we ought to realize the difficulty and the fact. Only if teachers are awareof the difficulty that students are faced with will teachers understand the feelings of seniorhigh school students about learning English writing. It is only teachers find problems thatwe will know how to teach English writing in senior high school. At present, teaching English writing exists several problems:First, during the process of English teaching, a lot of schools just focus on theexaminations, so the practice of writing is not paid attention to.

2.2 Theoretical Foundation of the Study
According to Krashen (1981), language acquisition can take place throughcomprehensible input. His input hypothesis claims that “Second Language is acquired ‘byunderstanding message, or by comprehensible input’ ”and comprehensible input is “that abit of language that is heard or read and that is slightly ahead of a learner’s current state ofgrammatical knowledge” He defined this current state of knowledge as I, and“ the input alearner is exposed to must be at the i+1 level in order for it to be of use in terms ofacquisition. ”Krashen stated “we acquire by understanding language that contains structurea bit beyond our current level of competence (i+1).This is done with the help of context orextra linguistic information”. And in Krashen’s view, “speaking is a result of acquisitionand not its cause. Speech can not be taught directly but ‘emerges’ on its own, as a result ofbuilding competence via comprehensible input” (Krashen,1985;Gass,2001:201).

Chapter Four The Results of the Experiment

4.1: Data Collection The pre-test:
This questionnaire(5.4 Appendix 1) were given to the experimental class mainly toinvestigate students’ difficulty in learning English, and the habit of learning Englishwritings and the skills of writing. According to the results of the questionnaire, the authorwill design the proper teaching method and plans for practicing writing. Based on thecommon problems and the difficulty in writing, in the process of teaching writing, theauthor will try out a new way of teaching English writingIt is assumed that they don’t have much practice in writing before experiment. AndFrom the Table 1 , we can seen that the mean scores of their writings of pre-test are almostthe same: the mean score of Class 4 is 13.6579 ., while Class6 is 14.0541.The number ofthe high-level students, the inter-level students and the low-level students is almost thesame. Class 6 is the experimental class of 38 students in which there are 20 girls and 18boys (EG,N=38)while Class 4 is the control class of 38 students in which 18 girls and 20boys(CG,N=38) The standard deviation can tell us the average deviation of all the scoresfrom the mean. The Standard Deviation of the experimental class is 2.86692 and that incontrol class is 3.28203.So according to the table, we can see that scores in theexperimental class are much more widely spread than those in the control class.

Conclusion

Through the experiment, on the one hand, it is proved that the listening model isuseful and an effective resource for the students’ writing. In the process of teaching writing, listening models should not be ignored, students can input some useful information fromthe listening model of the textbook., which can serve their writing. On the other hand, thenew teaching method for the writing is good for teaching writing. Using this method, students’ writing skills can be improved. By using the new approach, it is much easier forteachers to teach English writing. The number of the experiment subjects is small, the author just chose two classesin the school. The number of the students is 76 altogether, their English level is average, sothey can not represent the overall level of the school. Besides, there are some differencesamong students, therefore, in the future research, the author will choose different studentsfrom different classes, at the same time, author will pay attention to the percentage of theboy students and the girl students in order to guarantee the research more universal andconvincing.(2) The time of this rese
