Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Research Background
Owning to the highlight on English, more and more experts and professors focuson its teaching theory and teaching mode. In order to reduce the study burden onstudents, many schools are exploring how to construct efficient classroom. English is an essential subject in Chinese junior middle school study, meanwhile,it is also important for almost any study period. Due to its essential value ininternational communication, English has been realized since Ming Dynasty andpopular from Qing Dynasty. Lin Zexu, the earliest man who emphasized on theimportance of foreign language learning as an exchanging tool, pointed that theChinese people should surpass foreigners by learning from them. With time going on,English, with its highest popularity, becomes more and more crucial in internationalcommunication and business. Especially after the reform and opening up, to betterand faster catch up with the developed countries' developing paces, we have putEnglish on a new strategic position. Consequently, English has become a basic subjectin all study periods from 1980s and even after graduation from school its importanceis still kept in the society.Owing to the highlight on English, more and more experts and scholars focus onthe theory and practice of English teaching. 1.2 The Purpose of This Study
The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the application of LearningPlan in junior middle school's English teaching, and the paper will analyze thismethod and then enhance its theoretical level, finally making it standardize as amature teaching model in practice. As a teacher majoring in English and working in junior middle school, this papertakes English teaching and learning in junior middle school as a study subject toillustrate and analyze its current teaching methods' advantages and disadvantages, andmeanwhile some conclusions and suggestions will be presented. For the students in junior middle school, they are busy and tired to cope withabout 10 primary subjects (including English), and at the same time they are not assensitive as little children (under 6 years old) for foreign language learning. It iscommon that many students are put into the language training centre after class, nomatter how their English is. But, unfortunately, contrasting most students' great effort, they receive little effects. Consequentiy, how to improve the efficiency of Englishteaching in class is a critical task for the teachers.

Chapter 2 Literature Review
2.1 Development and Interpretation of Learning Plan
Based on the existing teaching models and theories both at home and abroad,Learning Plan Teaching has emerged and become an outstanding one among so manyteaching models in China. Before schools originated, the most common and popular teaching mode in thewest was private teaching mode. This kind of teaching mode required more money tospend on the faculty and the facilities. Therefore, usually only the children from therich families could have the chance to receive the education. In spite of high costinvested, it was still impossible to create a pretty good circumstance for the students'overall development.Mission schools are a very important factor to spur the development of theclass teaching model, and consequently lead to a new teaching model revolution ineducation system. Scholars, represented by Johann Amos Comenius, invited“observing” into the teaching process, forming a new teaching model led by"observing-memorizing-understanding-practicing"(叶澜等,2003,p.98). In late 1700s,Johann Friedrich Herbart's pedagogy emphasized the connection between individualdevelopment and the resulting societal contribution. In Platonic tradition, Herbartespoused that only by becoming productive citizens could people fulfill their truepurpose: "He believed that every child is bom with a unique potential, hisindividuality, but that this potential remained unfulfilled until it was analyzed andtransformed by education in accordance with what he regarded as the accumulatedvalues of civilization” (Blyth , 1981,p.70). Only formalized, rigorous education could,he believed, provide the framework for moral and intellectual development.

2.2 Introduction to Learning Plan Teaching
Learning Plan Teaching is the model of teaching guided by Learning Plan. Underthis model, Learning Plan is the carrier, guiding learning is the method, teachers areguiders and students are the main body of autonomous learning. In this section, the author will present the features and theories of Learning PlanTeaching and give a brief literature review of Learning Plan Teaching. This section shows the features of Learning Plan Teaching. It concludes thefollowing parts: Cooperative study, prompting participation; Self-study first, teachingfollowed; Breaking down the limitation of traditional teaching model. A good Learning Plan is lined by a series of enlightening questions, inspiringstudents to think and discuss. During coping with the problems in study, studentsbecome aware of what cooperation is and how to cooperate with others to strengthenthe knowledge understanding. Particularly in English teaching, more opportunitiesoffered to students for discussing and practice will convince them to experience thereal language (奚淑勒,2010) .

Chapter 4 Data Collection and Analysis
4.1 Data Collected and Analyzed from Questionnaires
The questionnaire designed for this experiment mainly concerns about thestudents' learning attitude, enthusiasm, autonomous learning ability and cooperativeawareness. It consists of 12 questions. The questions designed by the author are basedon the purpose of the research, which is to test the effect of Learning Plan Teaching. The same questionnaire was conducted twice. The first time, thequestionnaire was conducted to the control group and the experimental group at thebeginning of the term before the experiment. It can help the author know the students'English learning state before the application of Learning Plan. The second time, thequestionnaire was conducted to the control group and the experimental group at theend of the term, in July, 2012. By July, 2012,the experimental group has used theLearning Plan for one term, while the control group still uses the traditional teachingmodel. The data of the questionnaire could reflect the change of the students' Englishlearning state. When the questionnaires were given, the author gave the students instructionsof answering the questions. The students of the control group and the experimentalgroup were all required to finish the questionnaires within 15 minutes. Both thecontrol group and the experimental group have 47 students. All the students handed intheir questionnaires, and the questionnaires are all valid.

Conclusion
The paper focuses on exploring the effect of the application of Learning Plan injunior middle school's English teaching, through the contrast with the traditionalteaching model. Based on the data and the analyses, it is safe to say that the LearningPlan Teaching has a number of advantages. Meanwhile, the Learning Plan needscontinual improvement.According to the results obtained from SPSS analysis and the feedbacks from thequestionnaires and interviews, it can be concluded that Learning Plan is more helpftdand better for students' English study and meanwhile it can cultivate students' interestin English study, inspire their thinking of study, and it can improve students’cooperative awareness and autonomous learning ability. It coincides with the students' cognitive process: the preview of the lesson makesthem have first input of their memory; later their cooperative study as the secondinput in their memory, and more information benefits the construction of newconnection between their memories. The in-class and after-class activities andpractices of Learning Plan are effective to struggle with the forgetting process.Repeating input of the same point in various ways is the most outstanding advantagesof Learning Plan compared with the traditional teaching model.
