1 Introduction


1.1 Background of the Thesis
English curriculum standard clearly pointed out that English studying, is not only thecourse for students to master English language knowledge and skills or improve the practicalapplication of the language through English learning and practice step by step, but also theprocess for students to temper themselves, cultivate their sentiment, expand their eye horizon,enrich their life experience, develop their thinking ability, cultivate their spirit of cooperation,and develop their personality as well as educated manners. Besides, high school is the criticalperiod for students to undergo comprehensive growth, we should try our best to equip ourstudents with the basic English quality in high school, through the study of English subject, tomake every student has the ability of lifelong learning English and other foreign languages, inaddition, we must also pay close attention to student's existence and development, becauseonly teachers take students' development into consideration, can they furthermore promote thecultivation of students' life consciousness. Therefore, education is not only responsible for thecollege entrance exam, but also be responsible for students' life quality, which lays afoundation for students' happy life in the future.Pavel Korchagin's words echo around our ears ''Man's dearest possession is life. It isgiven to one just once'' which was written in 1983 in his book. people did not know howmany of them were inspired to strive, struggle by all these words which were related with themeaning of life, and people also could not figure out that how many people were influencedto pay more attention to the life by those words! Nowadays, however, when we are surfing onthe internet, turning on the TV, or reading newspapers, there are full of crime phenomenon ofteenagers everywhere, no matter suicide or murder.

1.2 Significance of the Study
From reading and sorting data about English class , I found that the existing researches athome and abroad have been carried on thoroughly of English teaching from different angles,but previous studies mostly focus on English classroom teaching mode and teaching method,besides the researches of education theory are also on macro level, such as teaching target,teaching mode, curriculum development, etc. Relatively speaking, this level is lack of interestin the English classroom and lack of the attention to students’ emotion, so I would like tomake English class teaching as a focal point of this article, and to change the mode of Englishteaching from a practical sense based on the perspective of students’ life emotion. This articlealso called for English educators to change the mode of English classroom teaching, to relievethe suppression on the students' personality, to stimulate students' potential for life, to respectfor human dignity of students from the perspective of understanding and care for students' lifedignity, in the end to build a classroom with "democracy, equality, harmony" , so that makethe students coruscate glorious life, say goodbye to the stereotype of infusion learning, anduse the students' autonomous learning to take place of it, which can make the students buildself-confidence in the process, and fully enjoy the English class and even enjoy English insuch a kind of classroom.

2 Literature Review


2.1 The Theory of Life Education
Life education, which means education about life, generally speaking, all the things thatrelated to the life of any subject can be included in the category of life education. At present,both at home and abroad, for life education, experts and scholars made a deep exploration andinvestigation about the theory of life education from different angles such as philosophy,physiology, psychology, ethics and so on, they put forward a serious of valuable theoreticalviewpoints, and defined several claims about life education, while many people have notformed the consensus of the concept of life education, the following lists several kinds ofcomparatively typical definition of life education that proposed by the relevant domesticscholars:In 1997, Professor Ye Lan maintained that life is the basic value of education, while thesignificance of education is to improve people's life and the create of the human spirit of life.In 2004, Liu Jiliang maintained that life education is based on the physical life ofstudents, through purposeful and planned education activities, aiming at the whole process ofindividual life from birth to death, to cultivate the students’ life consciousness humanistic andcompletely, this process also can guide the students to understand the meaning of life, topursuit of the value of life, to live out the value of life, to realize the glory of life.In 1999, Xiao Chuan from Beijing Normal University, believed that life education aimsto help students understand the meaning of life , improve the quality of life and enhance theconsciousness of life dignity, leading the students to have a great life finally. 2.2 Previous Studies on Life Education
As discussed above, We can see the importance and urgency of the implementation oflife education, but the development of life education is not unprecedented, and it really hasmany outcomes for reference. In the process of educational development at home and abroad,the practice of life education gave us lots of valuable experience, and provided a rich materialfor the domestic education development, which will promote the developmental process ofdomestic life education. In the west, to a certain extent, life education can be treated as synonymous with theirrationalism, it was primarily a reactionary of empiricism and rationalism, which emphasizedthe attention to people's irrational factors, such as experience, significance, edify, awakening,understanding, and in order to know and regulate the education. Life education was firstlyproposed by J.Donald Walters in American in 1968, it has been more than 40 years until now.At the same year, he founded the first life education school in California-Ananda LivingWisdom School, which advocated and practiced the life education. Later, all the schoolswhich were based on the theory of life education known as life education schools. As afamous orator, writer, and life guider, Walters published one of his masterpieces about lifeeducation in 1986 whose name is Education for Life: Preparing Children to Meet theChallenges. Walters maintained that if you wanted to return to the essence of human attribute,the study of life was the best way to achieve this goal. He also expanded the scope of schooleducation in the book, and education was treated as a process in which people shouldintegrate the knowledge with life experience together. Since life was just a process of living,therefore, people should live well when they lived in the world, make their body, mind, souland life attitude become the new elements for the future education.

4 Analysis and Discussions


4.1 Analysis of the Questionnaire
On the design of the questionnaire survey, students’ present life situation and learningstate come to the first place. Among them, 49.1 percent of students chose “have pressure, butthey can self regulate”, 34.3 percent of students thought their “school work is out of burden,and they feel anxiety and tired inside their heart”, while 16.6 percent of students believed that“they are very optimistic to face every challenge, and they are eager to learn newknowledge”(as Figure 4.1). According to the present situation of life and learning state of highschool students, I also designed a question to identify whether the students can bond learningand recreation reasonably in the process of learning. 36.7% of them chose “Often” becausethey thought the body was the source of “revolution”; While 41% of students chose“Occasionally”, especially the students in senior year, because they felt that they had no otherdesire at this time now in addition to race against time to prepare the university entrance exam,finally 22.3% of students chose “Never consider this problem”, they just let it be, that is to say,they will learn whenever they want , or just have relax whenever they do not want to (asFigure 4.2). We may draw a conclusion that high school students are one of the most heaviestacademic burden group who faced with the pressure of entering a better collage, moststudents can adjust themselves, but there are also a large number of students with inneranxiety, and the poor state of life and study.

Conclusion


It is a new attempt to discuss English class teaching from the angle of the life theory withan dynamically generated point. With the deepening of the curriculum reform, concerns forstudents’ and teachers’ life gradually embodied in the research field in today's educationalsystem, becoming the important focus in the practice of reform in curriculum and teaching.And during the process of my internship, I saw the teacher tired and their confusion in theclassroom which make me really want to do something, so with the recommendation and theguidance of my teacher, I decided to write this paper. This paper mainly focus on studyingEnglish classroom teaching from the life level, and make teachers reflect for the meaning ofthe life classroom and the phenomenon of the present English classroom. Then try to build alife caring classroom English teachingEach people only have life once, therefore, everyone has the duty and right to love lifeand cherish life, it is the starting point of building all ambitious goals. Meanwhile, it is everyteacher’s obligations and responsibilities to assume consciously, to educate students to cherishlife, love life. As a high school English teacher, in particular, should make full use of theadvantage of the subject, penetrate the thought of life education into English teaching, andguide students to comprehend the connotation of the humanities in the process of studying,and learn how to create the value of their own lives.
